This year, we're making it a series.
Three events. Three chances to race, connect, and test your fitness in a low-key, no-frills environment.
Free to enter, open to everyone, and designed for runners of all levels who just want to compete.
The Cinco De Ks
Saturday, May 2 | 7:00AM | Lake Highlands High School Track | 5K
Kick off your Summer the right way — fast, fun, and with people who actually want to race. The Cinco de Ks is your first chance to put a blazing 5K track time on the board and find out exactly where your fitness stands. Seeded heats mean you're racing people at your level, so come ready to compete.
Schedule of Events:
- 7:00 to 7:15am - arrive at the track and "check in" to get your heat assignment based on estimated finish time
- 7:15 to 7:35am - 1-2 mile guided warm up run on roads around Lake Highlands HS (will have coaches leading various pace groups and will also provide routes in advance)
- 7:35-7:45am - coach-led activation drills
- 7:45am-ish - start of first heat; we will plan for a heat to go off approximately every 20-25 minutes - exact timeline and number of heats TBD

The Midsummer Medley
Wednesday, June 3 | 6:00 PM | JJ Pearce High School Track
1600 | Distance Medley Relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600)
Two events, one electric Wednesday evening — go after a solo 1600 time trial, then team up for a Distance Medley Relay and see what you can do with a baton in hand. Whether you're a miler at heart or just relay-curious, this one's going to be a good time.
Relay teams can be registered in one of three divisions:
Open/Men’s (women welcome but not required)
Women’s (men not welcome)
Mixed (two women and two men required)
Schedule of Events:
- 6:00p - arrive at the track and "check in" to get your heat assignment based on estimated finish time
- 6:20p - 1-2 mile guided warm up run on roads around JJ Pearce HS (will have coaches leading various pace groups and will also provide routes in advance)
- 6:40p - coach-led activation drills
- 7:00p - start of first 1600 heat; we will plan for a heat to go off approximately every 8 minutes - exact timeline and number of heats TBD
- 7:45p - start of distance medley relay - current plan is to have a single heat, though this is subject to change based on number of participants

Saturday, July 4 | 7:00AM | Germany Park Track | 1776 Yards
There's no better way to spend your Fourth of July morning than running 1776 yards in the Dallas heat with a few hundred of your closest friends. Predict your finish time, race your heat, and find out if you know yourself as well as you think you do — closest prediction wins bragging rights and maybe a little more.
